TITLE I PROGRAMS
Title I is the largest federal aid program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Through Title I, the Federal government gives money to school districts around the country based upon the number of low-income families in each district. Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children who are behind in school. Pima uses its Title I federal funds to provide extra remedial services to students. Academic tutoring services are offered to students having academic difficulties. A portion of the funds are also used for teacher training and parent education purposes.
