Immunization Requirements for Students entering the 6th grade August 10, 2009
Last September new vaccination rules went into effect for all incoming 6th grade students. Students entering the 6th grade on August 10, 2009, who are 11 years of age are required to have a Tdap booster, if five years has passed since the last dose of DTap/DTP/Td (combined diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis). They are also required to have the Meningococcal vaccine. According to Arizona state law, 6th grade students who are 11 years of age will not be allowed to attend school without documentation of required vaccinations at the start of the school year. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse at 480-484-2811.
TAX CREDIT DONATIONS -THANK YOU!
Thanks to the generosity of Pima parents, teachers and community members, Pima Elementary School received over $25,000 in tax credit donations this year. As a result, our students were able to participate in field trips, after school tutoring, Pima Singers and other extra curricular activities that might not otherwise have been possible.
